The Inaugural “Footprints in William B. Umstead State Park” Exhibit will feature photography of the PARK, ITS STRUCTURES AND NATURE so get out your cameras, pick out your best shots, and submit an entry to our contest.
There are 3 contest categories for adult photography:
Where are Your Footprints?(people doing park activities)
Stories in Stone(remnants and structures of the Park history), and
In the Wild(park flora and fauna)
Youth photography (16 and under) will also have the three categories, but be judged together.
All winning entries, including Honorable Mentions will be exhibited at the William B. Umstead Visitors Center. Placed winners and selected Honorable Mention winners will be published in a 2015 park calendar. Contest winners and honorable mention winners will:

Deadline for submissions: July 12, 2014
Winners are encouraged to attend the exhibit reception, which is open to the public. The reception will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. in the William B. Umstead State Park Visitor’s Center, 8801 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27617.
After you fill out the registration form, you will be sent an e-mail with instructions on how to submit your digital photo (jpg or tif accepted).
