Special Exhibit - September 6 (2-4pm) Award Ceremony for 2014 Photography Contest, Footprints in William B. Umstead State Park

The “Footprints in William B. Umstead State Park” Exhibit features the winning photos from our Inaugural photo contest.

There were 3 contest categories for adult photography:

• Where are Your Footprints?(people doing park activities)
• Stories in Stone(remnants and structures of the Park history), and
• In the Wild(park flora and fauna)

Youth photography (16 and under)  also had the three categories, but were judged together.

All winning entries, including Honorable Mentions will be exhibited at the William B. Umstead Visitors Center. Placed winners and selected Honorable Mention winners will be published in a 2015 park calendar. Contest winners and honorable mention winners will:

• Receive a complementary calendar;
• Receive a one-year household membership for The Umstead Coalition; and
• Have their winning photo posted (after September 6th Awards Ceremony) on The Umstead Coalition website at http://umsteadcoalition.org

The exhibit reception is open to the public. The reception will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. in the William B. Umstead State Park Visitor’s Center, 8801 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27617.

Awards Recognition Program will be from 2:30-3pm.
