Help us restore Sycamore Mess Hall so it can be open for public use for the first time in almost 30 years. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) and Works Progress Administration (WPA), The Sycamore Mess Hall first opened to the public in 1937.

The focus of this service day will be interior restoration.

Guarantee you will feel a great sense of satisfaction after what you accomplish on this work day!

This event is part of the Umstead Coalition's events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of William B. Umstead State Park -- Our Park since 1934!

The Umstead Coalition will provide snacks and water.

We will have gloves.  Dress appropriate for painting, scraping, and cleaning.

We recognize you may only be able to attend for part of the day -- we'd love to have help for whatever time you can participate.
