The 2019 “Illustration Contest - Catch the Spirit of William B. Umstead State Park” 

The goal of this contest is to showcase some of the wonders of our Park using graphic illustrations on displays at the Park Visitor Center and also on commemorative T-shirts and similar items to support our Park. 

Illustrations (drawings) featuring or inspired by plants, animals, landscape or historic features within William B. Umstead State Park will be accepted.  

Need ideas?  Perhaps consider an illustration of the birds in our Park, wildflowers, hiking trails, historic structures, etc.

Ideally submit your graphic illustration as an Illustrator file compatible with CS5, but we will accept EPS, JPG, TIP, or Photoshop.

Multiple winners are possible.  Winning entries will receive:

• Featured display at Park Visitor Center
• May be featured as illustrations on items supporting the Park (e.g., T-shirts, canvas bags, note cards)
• Receive a complementary gift of any item in which we use your graphic;
• Receive a one-year household membership for The Umstead Coalition; and
• Have their winning graphic posted on The Umstead Coalition website at http://umsteadcoalition.org

Deadline for submissions: 11:59pm, Sunday, May 24, 2020

After you fill out the registration form, you will be sent an e-mail with instructions on how to submit your digital illustration (eps, jpg or tif accepted).

Rules and detailed information:

If less than 10 illustrations are submitted for the contest, we reserve the right to hold the entries over to the next illustration contest.
