On the evening of May 7, the Raleigh City Council will meeting. The Sierra Club, as well as Umstead Coalition and TORC, will be showing up to oppose the construction of RDU Quarry at the Odd Fellows Tract near Umstead State Park.

We have 2 speakers. Please STAND in support of their statements.

We'd like to pack the room to show the Council just how many people care about this issue and how many people support the preservation of the forested land from irreparable damage and harm to surrounding communities.

And, we will support Council Member Stef Mendell's nomination for Nancy Pekarek to be one of Raleigh's appointee to the RDU Airport Authority Board.

The city council meeting will take place May 7, Tuesday, at 7 PM, at the Municipal Building, 222 W. Hargett St., Council Chamber, Raleigh, NC 27601. (Wear green, so that it will be easier to find fellow supporters)
