Did you know that fall is the best time to plant? With cooling temperatures and increasing rain, plants have time to establish their roots before the spring growing season. The larger root systems will help the plants be stronger and more successful in the summer.
Our Fall Native Plant Sale will be on Saturday, October 1 from 12pm-3pm. We'll be selling locally-grown, native perennial flowers, shrubs and trees. We're excited to share that we'll have over 1,400 plants and large quantities of each species! Find us at: Umstead State Park (2100 N Harrison Ave, Cary, NC 27513). Registration is not required to attend, but feel free to let us know you're coming so we can see how many to expect.

New Things We're Trying
Starting at 11:30am, we'll be selling Umstead State Park T-shirts, fleece, hoodies, hats and more; early browsing will be allowed for clothing only. We will be have 3 checkout lines. For fairness to all, we will not start allowing entry to plants until noon.
Volunteers Needed
We have vastly expanded our plant varieties and quantities for this event and we expect a large number of folks anxious to take advantage of our wonderful offerings. We're looking for up to 20 volunteers to help make this event run smoothly. If you're interested in helping out, sign up here.
